For those that like to travel the Wyndham Rewards Loyalty Program offers guaranteed rewards after just one stay. Just last month Wyndham Rewards gave two lucky members and two hotel owners the chance to win 1 millions dollars on a live game show set in Times Square in NYC and meet famed American actor Tony Danza.

During this live game show in Times Square the contestants had to pick the right suitcase among a wall of 50. Even if they didn’t pick the winning suitcase though, they were guaranteed a win of $10,000.

After the show Wyndham Rewards opened up the live game show to the public allowing the New Yorkers and tourists the chance to step and win some prizes like branded travel accessories, gift cards and even free hotel stays.

The American Express Centurion Lounge

This month I was invited to San Francisco for a special brunch with my kids to check out The Centurion Lounge by American Express that just opened to the public this month at the San Francisco Airport. This is a pretty neat place for those of you that like to travel…

The Centurion Lounge is the perfect place to hangout at the airport even when you are traveling with your kids. It is a place where you can wine and dine, work and play and even relax and recharge. It is the perfect place for those looking for a place to go when there is a layover.

When you first walk in you will be amazed with the wine selection even if you don’t drink wine. You will find a unique wine tasting area that is powered by Wine Emotion that allows guest to sample different wines from the Napa Valley that have been chosen by wine directory Anthony Giglio.

For those that have an appetite, you will find a seasonal cuisine that has been curated by Christopher Kostow, chef at The Restaurant at Meadowwood, as well as signature cocktails by renowned mixologist Jim Meehan.

While I didn’t try any of the wine or the cocktails, my daughters and I really enjoyed the variety of food that was served. There was a selection of food to please everyone from pancakes, chicken sausage, breads, fruits, yogurt and more!

Traveling can be tiring and it can also be stressful when you have little ones. The brand new Centurion Lounge is a place that features a dedicated kid-friendly soundproof that offers games and entertainment to keep the kids busy while you relax or get caught up on work.

For those that want to catch up on some work or maybe relax and read a book, The Centurion Lounge offers connected work spaces that include high speed Wi-Fi and outlets near every seat.

My daughters had fun playing with the different apps on the computer while I checked out all the amenities of the lounge.

If you are just looking for a place to kick up your feet, there are plenty of places to lay back and relax while waiting for your flight. You will also find luxurious shower suites that provide you with a way to get refreshed in between flights.

During our special brunch we got to watch some cool magic tricks from Dante the magician. The kids LOVED his magic tricks and so did I. Even my teenagers were interested in how Dante learned his tricks. He seriously had all these kids LAUGHING so hard it was great.

Not only did the kids see some cool magic tricks they also went home with some very awesome balloon animals from Dante. When it comes to magic and balloons, Dante had it covered.

After my fun ride on the Murder Mystery Train in Carson City, my daughter and I made our way to Lake Tahoe to stay at the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel. I have to admit I was a little excited to arrive at the hotel. For years I always wanted to stay at the cute Embassy Suites in Lake Tahoe. That cute Embassy Suites that many are familiar with has got a makeover and now known as the Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel….

Murder Mystery Dinner Train On The Virginia & Truckee Railroad

Sometimes you just got to have a little fun on the weekend like watching a murder scene unravel right in front of you on a train ride on the Virginia & Truckee Railroad.

This month my daughter and I went on a little road trip to Nevada for a ride on the Murder Mystery Dinner Train. The summer wasn’t over yet and I wanted to make sure we had some fun before all the homework with school began.

The Murder Mystery Dinner Train show is produced by the Brewery Arts Center where passengers can learn about Nevada’s history aboard a vintage V&T Railroad steam engine and interact with the cast to help solve the mystery of who stole the gold and also who KILLED Mr. Big. This train ride starts at the Eastgate Depot in Carson City and heads into the Carson River Canyon for a 45 minute ride.

The murder mystery action begins as soon as you board the train. It all starts with Mr. Big running around the train with a KNIFE in his back. As the train is in motion the murder play unfolds before your eyes and you are left to figure out who did it!

The other characters in the story include Rose Montague who is on her way to audition somewhere in the Comstock, Elliot Hathaway who met Rose in San Francisco and wants to manage her talents and Rusty Perkins who happens to be Mr. Big’s right hand man.

As the train makes it way through the canyon the characters act out and the passengers can interact making the ride even more enjoyable.

During the ride the passengers are encouraged to look for clues in solving the murder mystery and finding the gold!

So during and after the train ride everyone is left wanting to know. Was the murderer Rusty Perkins, Mr Big’s right hand man?

Or was Mr. Big’s murderer Rose Montague or Elliot Hathaway?

After the train arrived back in Carson City we were welcomed with a Western BBQ and a cash bar. After we enjoyed our meal the murderer was announced!

I really enjoyed participating in this murder mystery dinner train ride with my daughter. She thought it was fun too! I would ride it again but next time I would bring the whole family. In fact I think I might be interested in riding the Polar Express.

Last week I took a visit to my local Red Robin to try the Freckled Lemonade as well as try one of of Red Robin’s meals. If you haven’t tried it yet the Freckled Lemonade is a blend of sweet strawberries and tangy Minute Maid Lemonade with free bottomless refills that has been Red Robin’s signature beverage for more than 20 years! Tomorrow, on National Lemonade Day, August 20, Red Robin is honoring the beloved summertime drink by giving back. Not only did I enjoy a yummy Freckled Lemonade at Red Robin I also had to order their Whiskey River Chicken Wrap. It was DELICIOUS! I have actually been trying to make my own version at home.

This wrap is made with grilled chicken with tangy Whiskey River^® BBQ Sauce, Cheddar cheese, lettuce, tortilla strips and a touch of ranch. The meal that I ordered also includes bottomless fries.

Red Robin is popular for their burgers so my husband ordered the Gourmet Cheeseburger. It looked so good I have been wanting to go back just so I can order one of the burgers.
