It is now Summer time and time to get my BBQ on. When it comes to foods, I absolutely LOVE food that are BBQ’d (like steaks, ribs, chicken breast, etc) or has BBQ sauce in it or on it. I feel sorry for those of you that don’t like BBQ sauce because it is my FAVORITE condiment.
While BBQ’ing is fun, sometimes it is too hot to grill. I live in California and the summers here have been HOT. I am talking triple digits which I do NOT like. When I am craving for BBQ’d food and I don’t want to break out a sweat grilling, I have now found my new friend.
Yesterday I put a package of Byron’s Fully Cooked Pork BBQ in my crock pot. While I could have put it in the oven, that would have heated up my kitchen so I went with the crock pot method of heating. I will have to say that I am a fan of pulled pork, so when I was offered the opportunity to review this product, I was super excited!
So I placed all of the pulled pork in the crock pot and set it on high for 3 hours. While it was cooking, my house smelled so GOOD. I even cheated and tasted it after about 2 1/2 hours. Once it had fully heated up, I made the family some Pulled Pork BBQ sandwiches yesterday for dinner. They were DELICIOUS and I am having one for breakfast this morning. It is not often I like leftovers, but this stuff is good!
If you are looking to serve a big party, this might come in handy. The Byron’s Fully Cooked Pork BBQ comes in 64oz (4lbs) packages that can make 30+ sandwiches. This package fed my entire family with having quite a bit left over. I was excited when my kids said it was good and asked for another sandwich. I love finding meals that my whole family enjoys, not just the adults.
