Back in my high school years, I did not like straight hair. I would beg my mom to take me to the local beauty college or salon to get a perm. I even bought the supplies when I was older to perm my own hair. Now, you can’t pay me to perm it. I normally prefer my hair straight these days and when I want it curly, I will use a curling iron to make some curls that I can wash out.
When it comes to my hair, I like to use a flat iron to make my hair look good. I used to color/highlight my hair all the time a few years ago, so my hair has been a little damaged and now I am taking the extra measures to keep my hair nice and healthy. What I learned last month was that you can actually make curls with a flat iron. My daughters and I were at the state fair and a company did a demo on my daughter’s hair to show you can can not only make your hair pretty and straight, you can can also use the iron to make pretty curls.
A couple weeks ago I received one of the KQC X-Heat Ceramic Styling Irons to review. This flat iron uses the X-Heat technology that utilizes ceramic and tourmaline gemstone components that soften your hair and also seals in cuticles. When you use this ceramic styling iron, negative ions retain your hair moisture and reduce the frizz. Not only does this heat up in just seconds, it also has an ergonomic design to also flip or curl hair with a twist of the wrist.
Last week I was busy on a couple press trips and I brought my KQC X-Heat Ceramic Styling Iron with me. I have not tried to curl my hair with it yet, but I did use it quite a few times while I was away on my trips to make my hair pretty and straight with no frizz.
Here are some other features I want to mention:
- Far-infared heat styles hair faster while making it soft
- 360 degree swivel cord
- Variable heat settings
- Precise and stable temperature
When flat irons first came out, I didn’t know what the difference was between them all. I have learned from experience that irons that use ceramic and tourmaline work best on my hair. They definitely cause “less damage” than the irons I first was using.
