I remember watching Scooby-Doo growing up. I definitely can say that I was a fan of the cartoon and still am. While I don’t watch it often because I seem to be always working on something, I was excited to watch the new movie “Scooby-Doo!: Curse of the Lake Monster” with my family this week. Since we have a new Blu-Ray player, we watched the Blu-Ray version of this movie of course! This happens to be the first movie I watched in Blu-Ray and now I am hooked!
In this movie, Scooby-Doo and the crew head out for summer jobs at a posh country club in Eerie Lake. This wouldn’t be a Scooby-Doo movie thought without a little adventure though. At the country club where they are working, something strange seems to be going on. The something that is going on there could happen to scare away all the club’s guests as well as the Scooby-Doo gang. While watching this movie, you are taken on a mystery investigation which means finding clues to help aid in solving the mystery. While Shaggy is trying to help solve the mystery, he is also trying to fight his feelings that he has about Velma too! In this movie Shaggy has a MAD crush on Velma, but will personal attachments divide this team? Nothing like a little mystery + romance in a movie.
Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster will include approximately 2 hours of entertaining bonus features, most notably:
- Jeepers! Jinkies! Zoinks – A Tribute to the Classic Gags of Scooby-Doo” – From Scooby snacks to the unmasked villain’s iconic line, “I would’ve gotten away with it if it wasn’t for you meddling kids and your dog!”, Scooby-Doo mysteries are filled with familiar moments.
- Scooby-Doo: Rock, Rap and Rollerskates – Get your groove on with Scooby-Doo and the gang as you go behind the scenes of the many musical moments in Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster.
I have to say that I really enjoyed watching this movie with my family. It definitely is a family movie that we will watch again. I will keep the rest of the details for you to watch. This movie is available on March 1, 2011 but you can pre-order it now on Amazon. I have the Blu-Ray + DVD combo!
