I don’t know about you, but getting your kids to want to always wash their hands can be quite a chore. I am always finding myself reminding my kids to wash their hands. With the amount of germs out there, you can never be too safe. Since it is cold and flu season, we definitely need to keep reminding our families to wash their hands. I have been sick on and off since November from the kids passing germs back and forth from school to me. Luckily we have companies out there that make products for kids that encourage them to wash their hands.
We recently have had the opportunity to review the Spongebob Softsoap Foam Works with a handy timer that goes on the top of the pump. This stuff was meant for kids but I will admit that I use it too! I love Spongebob and I love clean hands. What I didn’t expect was my two younger children to want to always wash their hands. This soap container with the pump has my 3 year old son amazed. I actually caught him today using some of the Softsoap Foam on his hands. He told me he was washing. I couldn’t be too mad at the boy.
What is even better is Softsoap has teamed up with the American Public Health Association (APHA) to create unique “Get Ready” hand washing timers that easily attach to the Softsoap brand soap pumps. When the pump is pressed, the timers play a fun song to help children stay engaged for a full 20 seconds to properly wash away germs. These times go perfect with the Spongebob and Dora Softsoap Foam Works.
I really like the timer addition to the pump. The timer plays music for as long as your child should be washing their hands. When the music stops, it is time to rinse. My 6 year old has benefited the most from this since my 3 year old thinks it is more of a toy since it plays music. I have taught my 6 year daughter that she needs to be washing her hands until the music stops to make sure all the germs are washed away. I will be keeping a stock of these cute pumps in my pantry.
