I am usually picky when it comes to documentaries. This documentaries was mentioned by Oprah and since I am a parent, I had to watch. The movie Waiting For Superman is a documentary that shows us just how our education system is truly messed up. If you are a parent, you should watch too! I thought it was pretty powerful!

Our education system is so messed up that there are parents that will break the law to try to get a better education for their children. This movie covers a story of an Ohio woman who got sentenced to jail time for signing her children up in a school district that they did not reside in. What I like is this movie shows the education system through the eyes of 5 children who are in America’s education system. If you are a parent, the end of this movie will probably have you upset, angry and might just want to cry. The school system for some children is like a lottery system. The children want a good education, but if they don’t get picked, they get to suffer.
